New demo - a command-line compression utility that uses the RSync algorithm. If you have two similar versions of a file, you can compress one by computing the differences between the two files. If you've been wondering how to use the DSRSync unit that comes with VDB, this demo will help.

Example Program - Using Smart Records
  • This application is a personal phone book.
  • It illustrates how to use smart records in a stand-alone (that is, not distributed) application. The smart records are streamed to an external file, making a simple object repository. The file format is text-based, and the program offers a built-in visual difference command to show what changed between two files.
  • This program comes with full source code, but does require Rinse.
